Lead singer Michael Mewborne is a native Texan who has spent time in Conneticut, Virginia, and now lives in Los Angeles. In between, he has traveled around the world performing from London to Manila. Michael pens BORNE’s music, which is perfect for shows on the WB or the Disney Channel. The tune “I’m a Mess” has already been licensed for the upcoming indie film Run, Leni, Run, set to shoot in late 2004. Bassist Evren Edler landed in Los Angeles in 1995 to study at the Los Angeles Music Academy, where he was excited to learn under some of the most respected music professors in the field. He has toured all over the world, and his collaborations include work with singer/songwriters such as Sarah Deshew, Jessica James, Karin Kornoff, Jennifer Lapointe, Adriane Callas as well as bands like Dafunkt, Milhota Nefesh and Lesser Gods. He also recorded and played with the tenor sax player Rafael Velleso in Rio de Janeiro, Viberophone player Jim Johnson and tenor sax player Jack Chandler in Los Angeles. Edler is also the music director and bass player of Emmy winning actor Jacob Young and is featured in the music video "Life Is Good", that airs on MTV, VH1 and Fox11. Chen Neeman, BORNE’s lead guitarist, is a talented and dexterous musician originally from Tel Aviv, Israel. He attended the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston, where he met drummer Andrew Meskin. Meskin, a true New Yorker, played with Chen in Boston-based “Nine Eyes” before the two joined up with Mewborne to round out the line-up for BORNE. BORNE formed in January, 2004, and released its first album, Apart From Within, in June of that year on indie lablel SEP Records. The band’s pop rock sensibilities are a homage to the popular bands of the last few decades from Sting and The Police to Jason Mraz and the Dave Matthews Band.
